Matthias B. Tanski CEO CIC

Matthias B. Tanski is one of the founders of CIC Hospitality and is leading the company as the CEO since it was established in 2018. Before starting CIC, Matthias had a broad range of positions in the Hospitality business starting with working at his parents small B&B in Germany, and during his career working almost every position in hotel operations, from bar/restaurant to Front office- and Hotel Manager.

He was nominated as “young hotelier of 2007” in Norway when he had his first General Manager position where his Hotel became “hotel of the year 2007” in the Thon Hotel Chain. After that, Matthias had different positions in Norlandia Hotel Group which ended with the position of Director of operations for all the groups hotels in Norway. Matthias has studied in Denmark, Sweden and the USA to achieve a “bachelor of Science” in economics and a “master of science” in Tourism and hospitality from the university of Gothenburg in Sweden. Matthias is a member of the board of BWH Hotel Group, which is the organization behind all 170 Best Western Hotels and World Hotels in Scandinavia.
