Norvestor Fund IX SCSp (“Norvestor”) has signed an agreement to partner with Carly Holding GmbH (“Carly”), a Munich-headquartered vehicle intelligence technology company serving consumers and enterprise customers. Founder and CEO Avid Avini and the management team will retain a substantial stake and continue to lead the business. Together, the parties aim to accelerate Carly’s B2B offering, expand its international presence and continue to invest in its proprietary vehicle data and technology capabilities.
Carly has developed a proprietary, cross-brand vehicle intelligence platform that transforms complex vehicle data into actionable insights across the automotive ecosystem. Its technology is already used across enterprise applications including vehicle inspection and assessment, used car purchasing, battery health analysis and other data driven automotive processes, including a strategic partnership with TÜV NORD as well as solutions for OEMs, testing and inspection providers and other enterprise customers.
At the core of Carly’s offering is a proprietary vehicle data foundation built with over more than a decade of real world vehicle interactions. The company combines manufacturer specific diagnostic depth with broad coverage across brands, models and geographies, and increasingly makes this intelligence available to enterprise customers through integrated software solutions and data interfaces. Its large consumer footprint has helped build and continually expand this proprietary data asset, creating a differentiated foundation for B2B applications.
Norvestor has followed the vehicle data and automotive software market for several years and sees Carly as a frontrunner in cross brand vehicle intelligence. Carly’s proprietary data asset combined with established enterprise partnerships and go-to-market capabilities position the company to capture a growing share of the European market across inspection organisations, dealerships and automotive platforms, fleets, insurers and other participants in the automotive value chain.
"Over the past decade, we have built a differentiated vehicle intelligence platform that turns complex vehicle data into actionable insights for consumers and businesses. We see significant potential to bring these capabilities to more enterprise customers globally and Norvestor is the right partner to help us accelerate that journey while continuing to invest in our technology, data and people." Avid Avini, Founder & CEO, Carly.
"Carly’s differentiation lies in its proprietary data asset, its scalable technology platform and the founder team with its clear vision for the future of vehicle intelligence. What impressed us most is the depth of the data foundation the team has built over more than a decade and how efficiently it is now being commercialized towards enterprise customers." Tor Erling Gunnerod, Partner, Norvestor Advisory.
"Our partnership with the founders fits very well with Norvestor’s strategy of backing founders to build regional champions and we look forward to supporting Carly in this next phase of its journey. The automotive value chain is digitalizing fast and demand for reliable vehicle intelligence from inspection organizations, dealerships and fleet owners is strongly growing." Anton Oliver, Partner, Norvestor Advisory.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed within September 2026.
